Bulgaria`s President and EU Ambassadors Climb Perperikon Ancient Fortress

The ambassadors of the 26 EU member countries to Bulgaria and their better halves will be guests to Bulgaria`s President Georgi Parvanov and his wide, Zorka Parvanova in the town of Kardzhali, southern Bulgaria, on Friday.
This is the Head of State`s traditional meeting with the EU diplomats. The ambassadors from the three EU aspiring countries are also invited.
After the informal gathering in the hall of the Business Centre in Kardjali, President Parvanov and the ambassadors will be guests to Angel Kodzhamanov, Kardzhali District Governor.
There the President and the doyen of the diplomatic corpus will plant saplings, after the President`s initiative "Let`s Plant a Tree" that started not long ago.
Local organizers spilled out they have decided on Japanese morello trees. On the next day the diplomats are planned to "attack" the stone castle of the ancient Thracians - the nearby Perperikon. Those of them who manage to climb the scared hill will receive a surprise, according to local sources.
